ICI Paints AkzoNobel strengthens PR tie with Tangerine
ICI Paints AkzoNobel has appointed Tangerine PR to handle the public relations account for its premium woodcare brand, Sikkens.
The contract means Tangerine now handles PR for all of the paint giant's trade brands, which also include Dulux Trade, Glidden Trade, Polycell Trade and Cuprinol Trade.
The Manchester agency has worked with the company since 2007 and the latest appointment will see it run the press office for Sikkens, a range of wood coatings.
James Green, communications manager at ICI Paints AkzoNobel, said: “Over the past three years, Tangerine has consistently proven its knowledge of the coatings market and helped us achieve fantastic, tangible results for our brands, so when we looked to consolidate our PR operations, it was a natural choice to award Tangerine the Sikkens account."
The Sikkens brand will be handled by Tangerine’s built environment team, which will be repsonsible for developing media relations with architect and designer, public sector, construction and merchant press.
