£1.8m Agricultural Advertising tender cancelled due to a lack of interest
A tender to create a £1.8m framework for the provision of export marketing services advertised by The Agriculture & Horticulture Development Board has been cancelled.
As a result, genuine competition could not be created at the tender stage between applicants, although the contract may be republished in the future.
The tender by the Warwickshire based Board would have meant European agencies would have been selected to assist in identifying and delivering potential opportunities for UK exporters of agricultural and horticultural products across Europe.
The four-year-contract would have included up to 10 suppliers working with an estimated budget of £1.8m.
The first Lot, with a budget of £1m, would have seen procurement within Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Cyprus services to assist in identifying and delivering potential opportunities for UK exporters of agricultural and horticultural products.
The second Lot, with a budget of £800,000 would have had a similar remit across France, Germany and Italy.
Five agencies would have been the minimum number of supplier needed to tender for both lots.
