51 year-old graphic design and communications company Edmonds UK (originally Edmonds Advertising) has merged with print-buyer Perdiccas in a move which will extend the company’s service offering as well as its board of directors.

The Edinburgh companies will merge with Jim McKie joining as operations director and Scott McGilp becoming commercial director as a result and will move to all staff to the one office away from the current Edmonds based in Leith.

David Cowan, managing director of Perdiccas, commented: “The scope of work Edmonds currently provides is primarily production orientated. Jim and Scott’s extensive experience will bring significant improvements to production efficiencies and supply chain management, as well as identifying capital investment opportunities for future data-driven print solutions.

“I remember the misty-eyed days of drawing boards, marker pens and Letraset, and have lived through the digital revolution. So it’s very heartening, especially in these uncertain times, to start the next decade by looking ahead to the next developments in evolving communications, where e-commerce and multi-media are already allowing clients to compete in much wider market places.”
