Warburtons launch £10m campaign

Bolton-based baker Warburtons is to invest more than £10m in an awareness drive as it bids to highlight the care that it takes baking the freshest, highest quality products.

A new integrated campaign will feature Warburtons employees and family members as the company aims to communicate the passion of those associated with the family firm and the quality of the products.

TV ads, which feature the line ‘Warburtons. We care because our name is on it’, have been conceived and created by RKCR Y&R who won the account in September following Warburtons parting company with Bartle Bogle Hegarty after 12 year.

A press and online advertising campaign will also be rolled out to support the TV campaign, and will also feature real Warburtons employees and suppliers and the care they take in baking Warburtons bread.

Richard Hayes, marketing director at Warburtons, says of the new ads: “As the UK’s number one family baker, Warburtons remains committed to investing heavily to grow bakery category value via our new advertising campaign and innovation. We take great pride in providing the very best quality and service to our consumers and customers. Our new advertising builds on the success of our last campaign and communicates the passion and care that goes into everything that we bake.”
