The Fire and Rescue Services of the North East has launched a new recruitment campaign to encourage women and members of the black and minority ethnic (BME) communities to apply as fire-fighters or for corporate roles at four fire services.

Different has created the campaign which will target the BME community for roles in Cleveland, County Durham, Darlington, Northumberland and Tyne and Wear.

The agency has also created a micro site which includes information on the selection process and application timeline.

Radio advertising will also run on Real Radio and Spice FM as well as printed literature such as posters, leaflets and DVD recruitment packs.
