A collective of councils have joined forces in the hunt for an advertising agency to service their £7m business.

Wakefield Council, North Yorkshire County Council, Doncaster Council, Harrogate Borough Council, Craven District Council and Selby District Council are seeking an advertising agency under a new framework contract.

The contract will be for a three-year period with the potential to extend that agreement for a further 12-month period dependant upon a review coordinated by Wakefield Council as the lead authority.

The collaborative partners are seeking to utilise the framework for media buying; production; creative and design work; provision of advice around media and recruitment topics; advice provision on methods to further improve effectiveness and value for money through advertising; copywriting; provision of management information; brand management; executive recruitment services; and digital advertising services.

The councils aim to invite just five (but a maximum of eight) agencies to tender for the business. The invitation to tender also indicates that "the most economically advantageous tender" will be selected.

The date set for the receipt of tenders or requests to participate is Feb 10.

The estimated total value of purchases for the entire duration of the framework agreement is in excess of £7m.
