Crabbie's Alcohol Ginger beer is to be the broadcast sponsor of ITV’s National Television Awards, with creative to be handled by An Agency Called England.

This is the second headline sponsorship opportunity for the brand in recent months after it was sponsor of the British Comedy Awards in 2009.

England was also responsible for the recent advertising campaign in the run up to Christmas which ran across TV, radio and social media.

Mediacom North will handle the media for the sponsorship of the awards.

Al Cross, brand manager for Crabbies, said:"The sponsorship of the ITV National Television Awards provides an excellent opportunity for Crabbie's Alcoholic Ginger Beer to be involved with an event that engages with the great British public and fits in well with the overall theme for our brand.”

He continued to say that ‘significant investment’ would be put into building the brand throughout 2010.
