A tender has been issued to six agencies by the Royal Navy as it looks to appoint a digital agency to handle its digital communications including the redevelopment of its website.

The successful applicant will be given the taken of implementing a strategy as part of its communications plans while also creating a new look and feel for the Royal Navy’s website using existing brand guidelines. This work will include the procurement and implementation of a new contact management system.

Having launch its new site, the agency will then work alongside the COI’s interactive services team to handle tactical activity for recruitment marketing which will include digital channels such as mobile, social media and search.

Pitching is expected to take place in February.

A spokesperson for COI Interactive, said: "Digital channels are a key component of the Navy’s communications strategy. In the next two years the Navy will be relaunching its corporate site and is committed to exploring its use of the semantic web, email, mobile and various social media channels that are key to their audiences. As such COI is committed to helping them appoint the right full service agency to meet these digital requirements."
