McCann Erickson Communications House has appointed Kevin Murphy as managing director of its Universal McCann division in Birmingham.

Murphy joins the company from Mindshare in London and brings with him a wealth of channel planning and media buying experience, implementing successful media campaigns for national accounts, including Tiscali, Capital One, Butlins, The Open University and World Vision.

In his new role, he will now be responsible for managing the company’s media division, and will oversee its portfolio of clients including Lloyds Pharmacy, Coventry Building Society, Advantage West Midlands and Stanley Tools.

Dean Lovett, CEO of McCann Erickson Communications House, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Kevin to the team and are confident that he will prove a valuable addition to our management board. We have no doubt that his extensive knowledge and experience will help to further strengthen our product offering and client portfolio.”

Murphy added: “I am looking forward to joining McCann Erickson and working with the Universal McCann team. This is a great opportunity to work on a series of exciting campaigns for a host of dynamic and diverse brands.”
