A whisky bottle which lights up along to music has been created for Ballantine’s Finest as part of an on-trade campaign, entitled ‘Listen to Your Beat’.

The packaging has been created by London-based The Core to reflect a graphic equaliser with a dark blue spray coated bottle which appears to react to the audio passing through it. The brand hopes that this will achieve back bar prominence.

Powered by batteries or mains, 20,000 units have been made available to markets internationally, along with a range of additional electroluminescent POS materials including posters and t-shirts for staff.

Peter Moore, global marketing director for Ballantine’s, explained: “The ‘Listen to Your Beat’ campaign will energise our on-trade accounts by engaging consumers in a creative and eye catching manner. Having spearheaded the hugely successful ‘Leave an Impression’ global marketing campaign recently, Finest is enhancing its reputation for innovation with this world first.”
