Bruntwood hires new marketing boss

Bruntwood has announced the appointment of a new marketing director to head up its brand development and marketing programme.

Kate Harrison, (40) is just completing a term as interim chief executive at Cityco, Manchester’s city centre management company.

Harrison has over 15 years experience in marketing and general management at blue chip companies, previously working as group marketing director for Manchester Airports Group, and prior to that at Sainsbury’s and Mars.

Bruntwood has extensive commercial property interests in Manchester, Liverpool, and Leeds, and has recently been expanding in other cities, including Birmingham. Having come through the economic downturn with a strong financial base, the Company plans further growth in the coming years, to reflect its growing status in the regional property market.

Chris Oglesby, Bruntwood chief executive, said: “I am delighted to welcome Kate to the team. As we take the Bruntwood brand, with its long term investment perspective and focus on the customer, into a wider national marketplace, it is essential that we are fully articulating the benefits which our unique business model offers to investors and customers alike. Kate is a very talented marketer, and her experience will be invaluable as we roll out the brand in our established cities and beyond.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Cityco and now we’re in the later stages of appointing a permanent chief executive, the time is right to move on to a new challenge."

Bruntwood has 90 buildings in four cities including Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool and Birmingham and provides office space, serviced offices, virtual offices, retail space and meeting rooms. Currently over 1,000 companies call a Bruntwood office their home.
