High street bakers Greggs has denied industry reports that it is set to review its £2m UK ad account, currently held by Propaganda.

It was reported that the company had briefed Propaganda to find a new approach by the end of November having been responsible for the previous campaign featuring comedian Paddy McGuiness.

It was also reported that two more agencies had been approached with the same brief and that all three would present to chairman Derek Netherton.

Scott Jefferson, head of marketing for Greggs denied that there were any plans to approach new agencies.

The comany works with Propaganda (advertising), MediaVest (media), Gratterpalm (shop design) and Inspire (shop design) and has recently started working with Biss Lancaster (PR) and Steel (digital).

Jefferson stated; "We have no plans to appoint any other new agencies. Categorically there is no shortlist of ad agencies - if anyone thinks they know differently I'd love to hear who's on the list!"

He continued to explain that Propaganda is working on a new campaign for 2010.

“I have no knowledge of a presentation to our chairman, Derek Netherton, and would appreciate someone letting me know the details so I don't miss it,” concluded Jefferson.
