Charity Hearts&Minds, which includes two of Scotland’s most prominent agency directors on its board, is looking is set to celebrate the tenth birthday of its Clown Doctors initiative with a night of comedy at The Bongo Club in Edinburgh.

The charity set up Clowndoctors in 1999 with the team now having visited thousands of children across a number of hospitals including the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh and the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Yorkhill, Glasgow.

The anniversary will be celebrated through a night of stand-up comedy at The Bongo Club featuring Phil Kay, Miles Jupp and JoJo Sutherland on 26 November.

Will Holt, managing director of Consolidated PR in Edinburgh and Jonathan Shinton, director of Newhaven are members of the charity’s board.

Holt explained: "Hearts&Minds is a great little charity that quietly gets on with its business of raising a smile amongst hospitalised kids, some of them seriously ill, across Scotland. Marking our 10th birthday with a fundraising evening of laughs was the natural thing to do. We've got some big Fringe names doing stand-up and we're very much hoping for a sell-out evening."

Tickets for the event can be purchased online through the charity's website.
