Communications agency Kindred is to close its office in Edinburgh so it can "move to a more flexible setup".

Two staff have lost their jobs and The Drum understands the agency's director for Scotland, Martin Osler will now work with the business on a freelance basis.

London-based Kindred has regional offices in Leeds, Cardiff and Belfast and was previously known as Geronimo Communications before rebranding in January.

The agency's managing director, Laura Oliphant, said: “While Kindred’s core business remains strong, following a review of our current client base in Scotland we have decided to close our Edinburgh office and move to a more flexible set-up.

"A consultation period with employees has resulted in the loss of two posts. However, Kindred’s presence in Scotland will continue with current Scotland Director Martin Osler working for the company on an associate basis. Kindred’s parent company, Tribal, still retains its office in Scotland.”
