The Government is now accepting advertising on one if its official websites and Best Western Hotels GB, is the first to advertise on one of the Government's biggest websites, the newly refreshed www.metoffice.gov.uk.

The hotel group's adverts are unique as they will be regularly updated in real time when a new offer or price becomes available. Best Western also guarantees that the prices featured for its 280 hotels throughout the UK will be the lowest available on any hotel booking website.

The Met Office website has 3 million unique users and 45million page impressions per month.

Jason Munslow, Acting Head of Ecommerce and Distribution for Best Western Hotels GB comments: "Advertising on the Met Office website not only allows us to reach a large volume of users, but also to target specific customers who are using the website to find weather for travel purposes. Weather is always important for people looking to book a break in the UK so there is great synergy for both brands."

Charles Ewen, Head of Web Business at the Met Office, said: "This initiative gives companies the chance to place their brand alongside that of the Met Office. By opening up this new revenue stream, we will be able to invest more in to the service provided on our website."

The campaign will feature a series of online skyscraper adverts communicating deals the hotel group is offering for two night breaks.
