The identity for a theatre named after Russian born architect Berthold Lubetkin has been created by Blue River.

The Newcastle-based design agency has created the identity and launch communications for the theatre which opened this month having received approval from Lubetkin’s daughter to use his name.

The theatre is located in Peterlee, County Durham which was originally designed by Lubetkin, although his plans were altered by the Government and Coal industry causing him to resign from the project, an experience he never recovered from.
