Interior design firm Burns Design, has completed the designs for new Edinburgh eatery 21212.

The Glasgow-based consultancy was given an open brief to design the identity for the Royal Terrace restaurant with rooms in Scotland’s capital.

The Grade A town house has undergone a £1.5m transformation. Designed to complement the somewhat surreal dining experience, the whimsical interior aims to whisk customers to another world in an Alice In Wonderland-esque experience.

Ronnie Burns, managing director of Burns Interior Design, said: “We received an open brief to design 21212 and wanted to create a restaurant suitable for a luxury dining experience but with a contemporary twist. What we have designed reflects the modern culinary experience diners receive at the restaurant, while creating a talking point that definitely has the wow factor.”
