British Heart Foundation has comissioned contract publishing company PSP Rare to produce a recipe book of healthy meal options.

The A5 book, to be released this month, will be distributed through the charity's traditional channels including its shops and to subscriber members of its Heart Matters service, which provides free tailormade support to anyone concerned about heart health.

Targeted at older couples, the book features healthy recipes and ingredients based on meals for two from breakfast to supper.

It will complement British Heart Foundation's other promotional activity, including online advice and the consumer magazine 'Heart Matters', one of several titles PSP Rare has produced for the charity in recent years.

PSP Rare’s Marc Bates, who is coordinating the recipe book’s production said: “Although we have a longstanding relationship with BHF to produce magazines we are delighted to have received this first book commission from the charity.

"Our understanding of the client’s brief and the need to come up with creative recipe content make this a very exciting project for us.”

PSP Rare is based in London and has regional offices in Bristol and Manchester.
