Glasgow design consultancy, Stand has designed a pro bono recipe book for fundraiser THINK PINK Scotland who raise awareness and generate funds towards breast cancer research in Scotland.

Think Pink’s Fantastic Recipes for a Fantastic Cause is to be launched in Borders’ Glasgow Buchanan Street store tomorrow and will be rolled out across all Scottish Borders stores by the end of September.

Stand’s brief was to create a bright and fun recipe book that divided into intuitive sections and would open flat on kitchen worktops.

Special illustrations have been designed by Mister Paul of NB Illustration; which include cheeky cupcakes on the front cover and food themed illustrations to denote the section dividers throughout.

Named by Stand, the 320 page recipe book contains recipe favourites contributed by Think Pink’s family, friends and acquaintances, MSPs, athletes, chefs, TV personalities and celebrities; and has been designed as a ‘must have’ Christmas gift.

Comments Lynn Murray of Think Pink Scotland: “The design and illustrations are just incredible. We have been completely overwhelmed by the support we’ve received from Stand. They’ve held our hand throughout the whole design process and have worked so very hard to bring it to life and on to the shelves of Borders.”

Maggie Croft, managing partner of Stand, added: “We’re delighted to have been given the opportunity to design Think Pink’s recipe book. The ladies involved are truly inspirational and hopefully the book will jump off the shelves and raise lots of money for cancer research in Scotland.”

Some of the celebrity contributors include: Gordon Ramsay, Lloyd Grossman, Rosemary Conley, Judy Murray (she's given Andy's favourite dish), Alex Salmond, Nicola Sturgeon, Lorraine Kelly, Heather Suttie, John Quigley, Amanda Hamilton, Kaye Adams, Carol Smillie, Fred MacAulay, Shereen Nanjiani, Ford & Lesley Kiernan and Elaine C Smith.

Funds from the recipe book will go towards funding a laboratory at the new Translational Research Centre in Garscube Estate in Glasgow as part of the £10m Beatson Pebble Appeal campaign.
