Richard Hall is to leave Love less than a year after becoming the Manchester agency's joint managing director.

Chris Conlan (pictured left), with whom Hall shared the MD role, will become Love's sole managing director from 1 October.

Conlan and Hall have been joint MDs at Love since November 2008, when they took over following Alistair Sim's resignation.

Love said in a statement that Hall plans to take a career break and go travelling.

Hall said: "I leave Love with a heavy heart, but the time's come for me to pursue other areas of my life, starting up a mountain in Peru.

"It's been great to work with the extraordinarily talented people at Love, and I've no doubt the agency will continue to prosper under Chris's stewardship."

Conlan added: "Thanks to Richard, Love is in an even stronger position now because of his involvement. We wish him a great time travelling and I look forward to taking up the reins."
