Trinity Mirror has launched new supplement aimed at the modern man called The Brief, inside Scottish daily tabloid newspaper The Daily Record.

Running with the tagline ‘Made for Men’ the eight page supplement will run every Wednesday and will include information for the modern man on motoring, fashion, online and fitness while including celebrity interviews.

The first issue included an interview with outgoing Doctor Who star David Tennent, as well as CD, film and product reviews as well as the weekly diary of an online poker player.

Lorraine Fraser, marketing director for Trinity Mirror Nationals, said: “From grooming tips, to fashion advice, to planning the perfect weekend Scottish men are now far more aware and interested in all things lifestyle orientated. The launch of “The Brief” reflects that ongoing appetite and will appeal to our male readers and in turn our advertisers.”
