Glasgow based designer Darren Wilson, founder of product design firm Kabloom, is to launch a new product, SEEDBOM, to the market.

SEEDBOM is designed and made by Wilson, a design graduate from Grays School of Art in Aberdeen, and is currently stocking a selection of retailers across Glasgow and Edinburgh.

SEEDBOMs are the friendly bombs that grow! Little bombs with the potential to grow flowers where there are none, to enhance the environment with areas of beauty and colour in the form of flowers.

SEEDBOMs are Handmade from a special mixture of eco-friendly, locally sourced and recycled materials such as used egg boxes, shredded office paper and the occasional tea bag, and include organic compost, organic fertiliser and wildflower seeds.

SEEDBOMs are based on the idea of interaction with your environment, joining forces with nature and brightening up dull and lifeless places in your local area. Throw SEEDBOMs into derelict land, neglected spaces or even your neighbour’s messy garden and watch them grow!

Kabloom is a small product design and manufacturing business based in Glasgow. Dedicated to producing unique and innovative products in an ethical and eco-friendly way Kablooms products exist to encourage interaction with nature and promote environmental awareness. Manufactured from a combination of reclaimed, recycled, organic and locally sourced materials Kablooms products challenge convention without compromising on quality.

Photographer for the product shots was by Susan Castillo, with the poster designed by Skratch design studio and Emily Chappell.
