The first website for Visit Leeds has been developed by Rippleffect in a bid to showcase the city’s tourist attractions to potential visitors.

The site is part of the Visit Leeds’ destination marketing drive and will offer news and information to visitors about attractions, restaurants, bars and accommodation in the city while also acting as a promotional communications tool.

Vodcasts and podcasts are also available on the site, including videos of events and attractions taking place through out the year.

Andrew Binns, senior business development manager at Rippleffect, said: “The web is a major route to market and presents significant opportunities for Visit Leeds to promote the area’s travel and leisure industry.

“A key part of our brief was to ensure the website design reflected a cosmopolitan city, it was easy to use, engaging and encourages user interaction.”

Amanda Bond at Visit Leeds, added; “A key objective was to inspire and convert potential leisure visitors to the city through a digitally rich, interactive and engaging website with content that is focused and easily accessible for any type of visitor.

“This is a major development for us in terms of being able to demonstrate an increase in economic benefit to the city and its partners. It truly reflects the essence of a contemporary city and all that's on offer here.”
