The sports division of Weber Shandwick Manchester has been appointed by new social enterprise Kick4Change and its 4sport brand.

Weber Shandwick Sport has been tasked with supporting the launch of the first social enterprise football boot which has been designed for four to eight year olds, and also provide retained PR support through online communications.

The football boot is the first 4sport product which has been created to be a functional, affordable and durable option for parents.

Ric Coggins from Weber Shandwick, said: “There’s a tremendous opportunity for Kick4Change to make a real impact in the UK, particularly with the government viewing sport as a vehicle to tackle issues around childhood obesity and social inclusion.

“It’s an exciting time for our partnership with Kick4Change with the World Cup in South Africa next year and England’s current bid to host the tournament in 2018 both concerned with making a positive impact on football at grassroots level.
