Reigning Roses Awards designer of the year leaves Love to work as a freelancer.

Rix, who was awarded designer of the year at the 2008 Roses, had been at Love for four and a half years before leaving on Friday.

He started out at Love as a designer and worked his way up at the agency, collecting more than 30 industry awards. Before that, his first job in the industry was at Brahm, in Leeds, where he spent a year as a designer.

At Love, Rix worked on clients including Nike, BBC and Nando's and was lead creative on the agency's Silver Cross work. He is now looking to work with "agencies or businesses anywhere in the world".

He specialises in design, art direction and branding, and on his website - developed by ex-Love technical director Jono Brain - he says he would be "more than happy in digital or advertising".
