Following a four-way-tender, The Teenage Pregnancy Partnership has appointed Beef to work alongside 4YP Bristol to create a sexual health information website for young people in Bristol.

The site has been created with the help of local teenagers to offer young people in the South West access to free help and advice on sex, relationships and contraception.

The Bristol-based-digital-agency was appointed by 4YP Bristol following four-way tender and briefed to develop the 4YP Bristol brand for an online audience as well as design, build and manage content across a site specifically aimed at 13-24 year olds that made content more accessible and easy to navigate and would highlight the directory of local health services to enable young people to find support in their local area.

A focus group was set up with young people from the 4YP Youth Team to help the agency understand the needs of the youth audience. The Beef creative and technical teams were then able to develop both the creative route and also the structure through which the site’s content could best be delivered.

Jess Boydell, communications coordinator for 4YP Bristol said: “The 4YP Bristol team wanted to create a place online that young people could go to access up to date information on relationships, contraception and sex in a style and design that was not only modern and fresh but as accessible as possible.”

Ben Hostler, creative director at Beef added: "4YP Bristol was an exciting and challenging project to work on. It's a slightly sensitive subject matter and a notoriously difficult audience to engage. The focus group really helped us develop our creative approach and ensured that the outcome would not only visually appeal but also deliver the content in a format and structure that delivered against their needs."
