Findus hands ready meals PR task to Finn

Findus UK has appointed Finn Communications to handle consumer PR for the launch of its new range of ready meals.

Leeds-based Finn was selected after a three-way integrated pitch, in partnership with below the line agency Initials.

Finn will work on the account from the product launches this Autumn until early 2010.

Neil Sanderson, managing director of Findus UK, said: "We selected Finn because of their extensive experience in the food and FMCG sector and most importantly, because strategically they really stood out."

Richard Rawlins, MD of Finn, described it as a "significant" win for the agency.

He said: "Our specialism in providing consumer PR and word-of-mouth marketing to FMCG and particularly food brands is firmly established.

"Opening a London office has also been a significant step, providing blue-chip clients like Findus with the comfort that we have resource in the capital to manage relationships with key stakeholders.”
