The first of seven new consumer websites for shopping group McArthurglen has been designed by Code Computerlove.

The company is looking to invest heavily in building its online presences as it looks to grow customer footfall across its seven designers outlets.

The first website for its York outlet has launched, based on master brand guidelines but with specific content relevant to its stores and location and includes a personal shopping feature allowing consumers to book a free two hour personal shopping session.

There are also style sections and fashion tips alongside special offers and a loyalty reward programme for each site.

Other sites will be updated and rolled out in the coming weeks.

Shannon Luxford, regional marketing manager UK, said: "Our web presence will extend the communication of our loyalty programme, which is all about the added benefits of shopping at a McArthurGlen outlet, and has been designed to tempt consumers into making a visit and keeping coming back."

Visitors to the site can also view details of the brands and stores based at the outlet, facilities available, TV commercials for each outlet, get directions and opening hours, learn more about gift cards and make group bookings.

Luxford added: "Our new sites are the first stage of a major digital push, which will include online advertising, PR and social media campaigns, plus further investment in SEO and PPC activity."

Code Computerlove also re-designed the corporate website for McArthurGlen earlier this year.
