Solihull based vehicle service and MOT group Nationwide Autocentre has appointed WAA to deliver its PR strategy to raise its brand on a national level.

The account, which was previously held by Manchester based PR agency Tangerine, will also see the agency look to drive footfall into local Autocentre branches and will involve WAA developing traditional media campaigns, tactical promotions, online media relations, reputation management and social media.

The agency’s first task was to launch Nationwide Autocentre’s initiative to raise funds for the NSPCC’s Child’s Voice Appeal with presenter Esther Rantzen.

The account will be handled by Jeremy Merckel and Faith Brotherston.

Jacqui Lennon, managing director at WAA, said: “WAA handles all of Nationwide Autocentre’s through-the-line marketing activity, and we are delighted to have been awarded the PR brief to enable us to offer full service partnership to the company.”

WAA replaces incumbent agency, Manchester-based Tangerine.
