Pure Shore picks up PR contract for Cowal Highland Gathering

Pure Shore has picked up the public relations contract to promote the Cowal Highland Gathering, one of the largest highland games events which has run since 1894.

The event, in south Argyll, attracts 3500 competitors from all over the world with many from Scottish communities-in-exile as far flung as Canada and New Zealand.

As a result of the appointment, the Oban based PR team will be tasked to raise awareness of several new elements introduced to this years Highland games and promote the event as a day out to day trippers.

Malcolm Barclay, event manager for Cowal Highland Gathering said: “In the current difficult economic climate we were aware of the importance of raising the Gathering’s profile and letting the public see why we stand out amongst other highland gatherings and events in Scotland.”
