Birmingham digital creative agency Clusta has appointed former Jaguar marketer Charlie Spencer as account director.

Formerly with Jaguar Cars’ global communications division, Spencer will be responsible for leading Clusta’s established accounts as well as driving new business. Based at the agency’s Birmingham office, he will bolster the strategic offering across the network.

Having worked on digital and integrated projects for brands including Land Rover, Aston Martin and British Gas, Spencer has a wealth of knowledge with over eight years of industry experience, both agency and client-side.

Following the completion of a law degree and marketing diploma in the US, Spencer worked at global management consultancy Accenture, design agency Schmakk and web solutions agency Marketing Net managing digital campaigns for clients such as Musto and Norton Rose.

Spencer says: “By pushing the technological boundaries, Clusta is leading the way in creative digital design and has produced some outstanding work for great clients. Passionate about innovative ways to communicate and engage with consumers, I look forward to developing this with the team as it continues to expand.”

Russell Townsend, Clusta's managing director, added: “Spencer brings with him a great mix of invaluable client-side and agency experience and I’m delighted to welcome him to the team.”
