The five year contractsfor the UK and Republic of Ireland will see the companies distribute Trinity Mirror’s portfolio of titles including those published by IN & M (UK) Limited and Centurycomm Limited.

The dea, which will begin on 5 October, is said to have retail sales value in excess of £500m per year.

Mark Hollinshead, managing director of Trinity Mirror’s National’s Division, said: “Our firm objective throughout the contract negotiations has been to achieve a sustainable route to market for our titles whilst simultaneously ensuring that retailers receive the best possible service.

“Regrettably, Dawson News has not been awarded a new contract for our business. We would like to thank them, however, for the support, help and commitment they have given to us during a very long association.

“Work has already begun to ensure there is a smooth transition for our new distribution network.”
