Quality Meat Scotland has appointed Tayburn through the Scottish Government Marketing Services Framework to carry out work across the organisation’s marketing communications.

The Edinburgh design agency joins Kindle and Hampton Associates on the roster following a tender process against 10 design roster agencies.

QMS is a non departmental public body tasked with promoting and supporting Scotland’s beef, lamb and pork industries. Its remit is to improve methods of production and product quality and promote consumer awareness and demand for its three key brands - Scotch Beef, Scotch Lamb and Specially Selected Pork.

“This a great win for us”, said Paul Brooks, senior account manager at Tayburn. “Our breadth of expertise and insight across FMCG branding, corporate branding and annual reporting was applied to the communications strategy we put forward. We're looking forward to working with QMS and helping them implement their brand led marketing strategy to promote the industry.”

Since winning the work, Tayburn has been briefed on designing a Scotch Beef summer recipe booklet which will be distributed to multiple retailers throughout the UK.

“Our objective was to source support from agencies that had experience of the FMCG sector”, said Suzie Carlaw of Quality Meat Scotland. “Tayburn’s approach demonstrated a thorough understanding of the challenges faced by the red meat sector. The strategic and creative insights shown in the proposed design solutions met all the criteria outlined in the brief and it was this that set Tayburn apart from other companies.”
