The National Assembly for Wales has tasked Departures to create its new brand guidelines.

Following a competitive tender, the Cardiff based design group was at the end of last year when it was brief to refine the logo for the Assembly and redesign its suite of external marketing materials and stationery.

The assembly is responsible for holding the Welsh government to account.

As part of the process, the agency has created a new colour palette composed of ‘dark, muted colours’ including greys, greens and blues. A secondary palette has also been created consisting of brighter accent.

While the agency is still working on the brand guidelines, the first work from the project has been released – a visitor’s guide to the Senedd building where the National Assembly is based.

The guide displays the new logo.

Departures is also creating a poster that will tell members of the public how to contact the assembly.
