A new website for photographer and commercials director David Boni has been designed by Story.
The Edinburgh agency worked alongside Gecko in developing the site to which would be iPhone accessible and also appeal to art buyers, corporates as well as agencies and act as an artistic, creative platform to showcase Boni’s work.
The technical challenge was to integrate a user-friendly content management system with an interactive flash site allowing Boni to fully control its content.
The agency has also produced an html email campaign to drive contacts to visit the new site. The campaign uses the iPhone “Old Booth” app that allows individuals to change their physical characteristics such as hair and general styling.
Boni is portrayed in the application in different guises with the proposition: “David Boni’s got a new look.”
Dave Mullen, creative director at Story commented: "The challenge creatively was to ensure the site is intuitive and easy to use yet keeping Dave’s photography at the heart of the website. It had to be interactive but also creatively worthy of the work that it platforms. There’s a huge amount of scope for Dave to keep the site fresh and up-to-date which in his line of work is critical.”
