A new Clydesdale/Yorkshire Bank has been created to launch the company’s ‘fee free’ mortgage offer, created by The Union.

The 30 second TV advert is the first for the company in two years and will run on Channel 4 North and Scotland, ITV Yorkshire and STV and will be supported with in-brand posters.

Media buying is being handled by Mediavest.

Steve Reid, retail director of Clydesdale Bank, commented: “Our Fee Free Mortgage is already proving popular and television advertising is an excellent way to further increase our mortgage customer base through both existing and new customers.

The ad was produced by Cask Productions.

“We hope the advert will increase awareness of the brand and reassure our customers that we are committed to supporting them by offering products which are focused on their needs and wants.”

Beverley Hart, deputy managing director of The Union, commented: “It’s fantastic to see the planning and the creative work communicated in what is a very fresh and relevant way.”

Meanwhile The Union Consortium which sees The Union’s digital division team up with digital agencies W00tonomy and Conscia has been appointed to redesign and build the Cycling Scotland website.

The new site will look to utilise social networking to promote cycling in Scotland and will also include a Scottish Events Database which will be jointly managed by Cycling Scotland and its partners such as the Forestry Commission, Scottish Cycling and VisitScotland.
