GyroHSR has added to its management team in Manchester with the appointment of Adam Fothergill as group account director from Love Creative.

This follows other recent senior appointments, including Frazer Hennessey as production director and Fiona McFadden as PR director.

Fothergill has previously worked for agencies including JWT, Tequila\TBWA and most recently Love Creative.

While at Love Creative, Adam worked as part of the senior management team to define and grow the agency’s creative and strategic offering. His key client business included Nike EMEA, STA Travel, Dr Martens, Silver Cross, Sony Playstation Europe, University of the Arts London and Urban Splash.

Danny Turnbull, general manager at GyroHSR in Manchester commented: “Adam’s experience is an ideal fit for us. Our ethos is about applying B2C standards in the B2B world. Harnessing the same levels of creative cut-through to achieve real differentiation in competitive B2B markets.

“This appointment further demonstrates our commitment to investing in the growth of the business, despite the economic conditions affecting the industry, ensuring we’re perfectly placed to keep building on our success to date.”

Fothergill will lead an existing account handling team at Gyro, where clients include engineering, professional services and public sector organisations. He will also work with Ewa James, client services director, to drive new business.

Commenting on his move, Fothergill said: “GyroHSR is an ambitious agency and that greatly appeals to me. It’s a fantastic opportunity to utilise my B2C skills in a B2B setting, working in niche, more recession-proof sectors.”
