McCann Erickson Communications House Manchester has moved to further strengthen its digital offering with the appointment of a new digital integration director, Ric Hayes.

Hayes will focus on working with McCann's existing digital teams, including social media, on line media, mobile and website creation, to devise digital solutions that harness the appropriate technologies and techniques to drive client's business.

Hays returns to McCann after a four year gap where he established the 'Zed' digital brand in New Zealand.

Commenting on his new role at the Manchester based agency Ric said, "I'm delighted to return to McCann where I have a strong and rapidly expanding team around me. My job is to champion and facilitate the integration of our digital offering and make sure the best work runs for our clients.

Robin Wilson, Digital PR & Social Media Director said: "Digital is a real growth area for the agency and we're always seeking to recruit digitally creative and experienced individuals. Ric's wealth of knowledge will make him a valuable asset."

Ric joins other recent appointments made by McCann, including Managing Partner, Andy Moffitt.

The appointment also follows news earlier this year that McCann Erickson would return to Manchester City Centre after a thirty year absence with a new digital operation called McCann Metro.

The new office is based in Basil Chambers in the city's Northern Quarter where it will complement the established Prestbury-based digital division.
