Fifth Ring has joined the Business Branding Network (BBN), as it aims to enhance its international reach and expertise.

The integrated communications agency, which specialises in the energy industry, has grown rapidly since its formation in Aberdeen in 1991, and now has offices in Dubai and Houston.

Global business-to-business network BBN was founded in 1987 and delivers brand and communications strategies and activities. It has expanded from its original pan-European base to provide worldwide coverage. It comprises a network of independent agencies who choose to work together. Currently the network employs 1,500 people, has 26 agencies in 33 locations, with a gross income of €70om earned by BBN members.

Rob Morrice, managing director of BBN UK, and an Aberdonian himself (and also managing director for IAS B2B Marketing), said: “Fifth Ring has established an excellent reputation in the UK as a leading corporate communications company. The contacts and network it has built up across its offices will be invaluable to BBN and significantly increases BBN’s capacity to deliver for clients in the region.”

Fifth Ring’s business development director, Ian Ord, said: “Access to BBN improves our global capabilities and allows us to support BBN members via our industry expertise and contacts. We are delighted to be part of this prestigious network of companies, and look forward to making a significant contribution to its future success. I would like to thank Rob for taking the time to pass his expertise to our team in Aberdeen.”
