Mather &Co to design Wimbledon Visitor Platform
An interactive viewing platform for Wimbledon’s Centre Court which will allow visitors to view the court from different angles will be designed by Mather & Co.
The project. Entitled CentreCourt 360 will be able to accommodate around 30 people and be in operation for 11 months of year, but disassembled for the championships.
Touchscreens placed below the windows will allow visitors to see digital panoramic photographic views of the court.
The Wimslow based agency has been working with The Wimblewon Lawn Tennis Museum since 2002 when it beat out Land Design Studio, Event Communications and Hodges Associates. The agency also planned the museum which officially opened in 2006.
CentreCourt360 will open on 1 August.
