Jelly TV, founded by technical entrepreneurs Godwin Ofingwe and Steve Lee, has received the backing of John Denholm, who is acting as non-executive director and is the former managing director of The Leith Agency and is currently heading up recruitment co

Denholm has also brought on board former chief executive of SMG Donald Emslie and Allan Rich, founder of MediaCom to advise the business ahead of its launch in October.

Jelly TV will be able to broadcast the On-Demand services of partner broadcasters directly to TV sets, as well as augmenting Freeview’s current service. The company also claims to be able to offer a more targeted television advertising system, which could be bespoke to individual households that use broadband.

The company's brand was created by Edinburgh based design agency 60Watt.
