A new website has launched for supermarket chain Tesco’s Schools & Clubs 2009 campaign, created by DigForFireDMG.

The five figure contract picked up by the Sheffield based agency saw it build the site to include an online ordering facility alongside a more user friendly design.

Tesco has chosen to create one site for what was previously two separate voucher campaigns ‘Computers for Schools’ and ‘Sport for Schools & Clubs.’

Customers can now collect vouchers as they shop with Tesco which will allow organisations to cash in vouchers for sports equipment and computers.

The new website offers more content from one central site and is expected to attract upwards of 200,000 visitors from the 30,000 organisations already signed up to the initiative.

Jonathan Fletcher, digital account director at DigForFireDMG said: “The new website combines the strengths of both individual sites and stores information in a central resource, making it much easier for users to navigate.

“Each organisation has their own private login area with details about their school or club. This includes details on placing an order, access to a quick order form and a shopping basket that is saved between visits so they don’t need to find everything all at once.

“The running reminders featured on the website are an excellent new feature, reminding schools and clubs of expiry dates on any vouchers they may have. Access to a range of support material allows users to promote that they are collecting vouchers to a wider audience and maximise any opportunities for shoppers at Tesco to collect on their behalf.”
