Following a five-way pitch, the marketing and communications strategy for Liverpool City Council’s school building programme has been appointed the Paver Smith.

The account, thought to be worth six figures, will see Paver Smith manage the communications for the Building Schools for the Future programme and Primary Capital Programme.

The scheme will look to deliver a step-change in the quality of facilities made available to the city’s school children over the next decade and improve skill levels across its communities.

Following its appointment the agency has been tasked with delivering an integrated communications strategy for the council which will include the staging of events and the production of marketing collateral, branding and a website, as well as PR and stakeholder activity.

Jon Brown, director of strategy at Paver Smith, said: “These schemes are critical to the city’s continued renaissance, improving educational attainment and helping to ensure young people are leaving school with relevant high value skills.

“It’s an issue which goes to the heart of Liverpool’s long term future as an investment destination and as a city which wishes to foster indigenous enterprise so we’re delighted to be involved in a project which is so critical for a number of reasons.”
