Museums Galleries Scotland on Hot Tin Roof for Show Scotland
Museums Galleries Scotland (MGS) has appointed Edinburgh PR agency Hot Tin Roof to deliver an on and offline PR campaign to promote Show Scotland, its showcase big events weekend.
Running between 1-4 May, 50 events have so far been confirmed for Show Scotland which will include specially created arts performances, late night openings and family activities.
Hot Tin Roof has been appointed to reach new audiences and increase awareness of the events being held during Show Scotland.
Hot Tin Roof is also advising MGS on the development and implementation of its online strategy. This year Show Scotland will also be on Facebook and Twitter, keeping visitors and members up to date with developments as preparations get underway.
Sarah Lee, Hot Tin Roof MD explained: One of the most exciting elements this year will be developing the online strategy and engaging one to one with visitors and venues. MGS has embraced this concept and the community is already starting to grow.

Now in its fourth year Show Scotland goes from strength to strength providing museums and galleries with an opportunity to be creative and daring with their collections and venue space.”
Show Scotland evolved from Museums and Galleries Month. Museums Galleries Scotland worked with other museums, galleries and arts organisations to develop the idea. Taking inspiration from other international models including n8 in Amsterdam, New Yorks Museum Mile Festival and the Lange nacht de museen in Berlin, Show Scotland was established in 2006 as a pan-Scottish event for the countrys museums and galleries.
