McCain's head marketer to join ASDA
Simon Eyles, marketing director of McCain’s Foods, is to join ASDA in a senior marketing role.
He will take on the role of head of private label at the supermarket giant from April, following the promotion of its marketing director Rick Bendel to marketing officer last month.
Eyles joined McCain as marketing controller in 2001 from Arla Foods and was appointed to his current position in 2007.
A spokesperson for McCains, said: “After eight years with McCain Foods (GB), Marketing Director, Simon Eyles, has decided to move on to take a post as Head of Brand Management at Asda.
“We are currently looking for an external candidate to replace Simon and in the interim, Sue Jefferson, prepared foods business unit director, will oversee the marketing activities alongside her current role.
“We wish Simon all the best for the future and we will make an announcement as soon as a new marketing director has been identified.”
