Love launches Dr. Martens For Life microsite

Love has created a microsite for Dr. Martens' new 'For Life' collection of shoes that come with a guarantee that they will last for a lifetime.

The 'liftetime guarantee' is a pledge from Dr. Martens to repair the For Life boots and shoes when they wear out and to keep repairing them for the rest of the customer's lifetime.

When they purchase For Life footwear, customers receive a booklet which contains a unique code - and by entering it at the For Life microsite they activate the guarantee.

The microsite also provides full details on the products, care instructions, a store locator tool and information about Dr. Martens' other e-commerce sites.

Phil Borthwick of Dr. Martens said: "There is increased consumer demand for products that provide good value for money. By using high quality materials in our products they’ll give the wearer years of wear. Eventually they will wear out, we’ll repair them – and keep on repairing them for the rest of the consumer's life.

"The site does exactly what it’s supposed to do and communicates very effectively without being too self-indulgent on a creative level.”

Manchester-based Love's work on the microsite follows the Design a Boot website that the agency created for the brand last year. The agency says it is working on more Dr. Martens projected to be launched later this year.
