Digital data storage company Imation has consolidated its UK consumer and commercial media relations by awarding the account for its profolio brands Memorex, TDK Life on Record and XtremeMac to Berkeley PR.

The account will be run out of the agency’s Thames Valley based office and will see it also looking to raise the profile of Imation’s B2C productions in the consumer, national, media and lifestyle press through a product review programme while it will also promote its B2B products.

The Imation and Memorex account have been retained by Berkley PR while TDK Life on Record was held by Firefly PR while XtremeMac was acquired by Imation at the end of last year.

Jo Jamieson, regional director for Berkley PR Thames Valley, said: “Our PR activity for Imation over the past five years has been largely focused on the B2B market, so the new consumer brands provide a great opportunity to incorporate our B2C experience into the account delivery. Alongside a traditional media relations programme, we’ll be using online PR techniques to reach key influencers in these new audiences for Imation.”

The Imation four brand account team will be headed up by Paul Stallard and managed by Emma Sinclair with support from Luke Davies.
