The Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) has appointed Manchester based Gyro International to develop the brand.

The appointment of the agency follows two years of working with electrical inspectorate ELECSA and will see Gyro implement a review of the ECA’s current brand architecture and positioning of its rebrand across the group’s subsidiary companies.

The company felt the need for a rebrand as a result of significant growth, which has occurred internally at the ECA as member companies have developed over the years. As an industry trade body, the ECA felt it was important to stand out and position itself as the leading authority and one unified body.

Ewa James, client services director at Gyro, commented: “With our extensive experience in this niche industry, we are ideally positioned to take on this project. The client was keen to bring in a dynamic agency that is both a B2B specialist and knowledgeable of the market. As part of the rebranding job we will develop the overall brand strategy, positioning and creative for the ECA.”
