Edinburgh-based creative studio, 39steps, has been appointed as sole design supplier to Scotland’s animal welfare charity, The Scottish SPCA.

With communications spanning publications, direct mail and advertising campaigns, the charity aims to promote its aims and work throughout Scotland.

Ben Supple, Scottish SPCA’s marketing and communications manager, said: "We have only ever been impressed with the creativity and professionalism of the 39steps team and are delighted to continue working with them. A vibrant, consistent brand is being created which showcases the fantastic and vital work of our inspectors, ambulance drivers and animal rescue and rehoming centres across Scotland."

Julie Diver, managing director of 39steps, added: “Ben and the team at Scottish SPCA are committed to a marketing strategy that includes producing quality materials that generate real results. We overhauled their member magazine initially last year, and it’s fantastic that we’ve given the Scottish SPCA the confidence to place all their work now with a Scottish based studio, and a small, dynamic one to boot.”

The Scottish SPCA recently hit the headlines with an advertising campaign geared towards highlighting the distinction between them and the more well-known RSPCA, which only rescues animals in England and Wales.

39steps was established with PSYBT help in 2003, and now works with clients that include MS Society, the Alliance of Sector Skills Councils and the Federation of Small Businesses.
