Code Computerlove has confirmed the appointment of McCann Erickson Manchester's Wesley Hogg as its executive creative director.

Reporting directly into agency head Tony Foggett, Hogg will be responsible for all of the Manchester digital agency's creative output, overseeing Code’s three group creative directors John Lander, Andy Crawford and recent addition to the team Ross Mawdsley.

Founder Wini Tse will continue in his role as creative partner running the concept and design production team and special projects.

Hogg, 37, had held the position of digital creative director at McCann Erickson Manchester since 2007. Prior to that he worked for Bristol-based agency E3.

He described his new role as a "huge opportunity".

"Not only will I be shaping Code’s creative output, but as a member of the Code board I can also input into the future direction of the agency as a whole," he said.

Managing director, Foggett, added: "Wes’s broad creative experience in both independent digital and large advertising agencies will enhance the skill set we already have in our team.

“This is a big investment for us as an agency, but we believe Wes’s leadership will add another layer of creative strategy and help us to continue to attract clients who are serious about investment in digital marketing.”

Earlier today, McCann Manchester announced that Komodo Media co-founder and partner Roy Husdell would be its new digital creative director. His arrival and Hogg's departure are "unrelated" though, McCann said.
